Application of purity detection items
Ratio of living cells: When the cell product is a single cell type and with uniformity, the purity of the product can generally be studied by directly detecting the rate of living cells in the product.
Ratio of cell subset: When the cell product is a mixture of many different types or cells of different genotypes/phenotypes, it is recommended to research the purity of the product by detecting the ratio of each different cell subset associated with the therapeutic effect, and to further comprehensively evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the product. In some cases, product cells can also be classified by metabolic class, maturity stage (naïve, senescence, exhaustion, etc.). Ratio of functional cells: When there are both functional and non-functional cells in the cell product, such as after genetic modification/modification or in vitro induction, it is recommended to test the ratio of functional cells to research the purity of the product.
