What is CAR-NK cell therapy
The basic principle of CAR-NK cell therapy is to use genetic engineering techniques to modify NK cells to enhance their ability to recognize and attack tumor cells. Genetically engineered CAR-NK cells can rapidly expand in vivo and specifically recognize and attack tumor cells. CAR-NK cell therapy is more specific and has fewer side effects than conventional cancer treatments.
Quality control of CAR-NK cell therapy process
Similar to CAR-T cell therapy, CAR-NK cell therapy has shown great potential in preclinical and clinical trials to effectively kill blood tumors and solid tumor cells. In order to ensure the safety and effectiveness of CAR-NK cell products, a series of rigorous quality control tests need to be established. As "living drugs" , the preparation process of CAR-NK cells is a complicated process, and the quality control includes several aspects such as safety, purity, efficacy and uniformity etc.
